Touring Caravan/Motorhome Visitor Requirements

 

We want everybody who comes to stay at Woodlands to have a relaxing, and safe holiday.  Like all campsites, however, we do have a few rules that we'd like everybody to adhere to. It is a condition of the terms of booking that these requirements are accepted by all guests.

Reservations:

  • We do not accept twin axle caravans or tandem/tri axle motorhomes. Or caravans or vehicles wider than 2.45 meters. We do not allow any electrical vehicle charging on site.

  • Bookings will only be accepted and confirmed following receipt of a completed Bookings Form and deposit

  • A maximum of 4 people can occupy a single pitch at any one time 

  • For health, safety and security we do not accept day visitors

  • Pitches will be available from 12noon on the day of your booking until either dusk or 7pm, whichever is earlier.   We do not accept arrivals after this time for health and safety and security.

  • Departures – Please be sure to vacate your pitch by 12noon.

  • We reserve the right to remove and dispose of any property left on the campsite

Payments:

  • For stays of two nights or more, and repeat bookings, £25 per night, cash on arrival is acceptable or bank transfer in advance if preferred.

  • For one night 'stop over stays' a pitch fee payment is required in advance of £35 per night for Friday and Saturday in July, August and Bank Holidays, £30 per night any other days.  Payment in advance via bank transfer only

Cancellations 

​​If we have to cancel your booking prior to your arrival we will refund in full any payments you have already made.

  • Events such as vehicle breakdown, illness or inclement weather etc which may result in delayed arrival or cancellation of your stay are not the responsibility of Woodlands and therefore we advise you to seek appropriate travel insurance.​

  • If you have to cancel your booking please do so as early as possible so that we may attempt to re-book your pitch and recover lost income. Your booking is only cancelled once you have received a confirmation of cancellation email from us. If you email/leave a voicemail to cancel and do not receive a confirmation of cancellation email from us within 48 hours please contact us again as we have not received your message and you may still be liable for payment.

  • By making a booking and paying you signify your agreement with our refund policy below.

Refund Policy

If the booking is cancelled less than 7 days before arrival no refunds will be made. Similarly no credit or refund is available for any unused services provided in the cost of your holiday e.g. if you choose to depart early.

  

Camp Site Etiquette:

  • Only gas barbeques 

  • No drugs or illicit substances are used on the premises at any time

  • All excess rubbish must be removed from site – this includes broken furniture, BBQs,  etc. (our bins can accommodate normal  guest refuse  only)

  • Please treat other guests with the courtesy and consideration that you might expect in return 

  • For all our guests benefit we request all noise be kept to a minimum after 10pm. 

  • The site owners will not accept liability for any personal injury or damage to property howsoever caused or sustained

  • When driving on the site, please stay under 5 mph at all times 

  • All drivers on site must be fully insured and vehicles taxed and with an up to date MOT

  • The use of generators is strictly prohibited on site unless via explicit permission

  • Please place your rubbish in the bins provided and ensure that the recycling bins are used accordingly.

  • Drones and similar flying or radio-controlled devices are not allowed to be operated anywhere on the site also the use of decorative outside lighting (LED Flagpoles and the like) as it detracts from the tranquillity of the countryside

  • Dogs are allowed on site but must be kept on a lead at all times

  • Please clean up after your dog; dog waste should be bagged, sealed and placed in the rubbish bin (general rubbish) provided

  • We reserve the right to refuse acceptance or to terminate the visit of any person whose conduct we consider is detrimental to us, or to our other visitors.

Storage Terms and Conditions

  • All units are stored at owners risk, Woodlands Caravan Storage accept no liability for loss or damage.

  • All caravans must be insured by the owner and kept insured during the period of storage.

  • All caravans, trailers must be secured as per the conditions of the owners insurance policy in respect of the stored unit

  • All personal effects and valuables must be removed from the unit, and the windows and door to remain locked during the period on site.

  • The three monthly storage fee is payable in advance, Woodlands Caravan  Storage has the right to alter the fee by giving due notice to the plot holder.

  • If the caravan owner terminates the contract prior to the agreed period of 3 months, no refunds can be give

  • In the event of the storage fee being overdue Woodlands Caravan Storage may retain possession (lien) until the arrears are settled in full or otherwise discharged. Woodlands Caravan Storage undertakes to notify possession by recorded delivery. In the event of a negative response to possession, legal action may be taken to sell the caravan, motorhome via The Torts Interference with Goods Act 1977. The outstanding arrears will be deducted from the proceeds of the sale, as will any reasonable costs incurred. The remaining balance will be retained to await collection. Woodlands Caravan Storage will seek to obtain the best price available based on current market values, and notify the owner of the date and place of sale

  • Access to the site is by secure fob key, within specified seasonal time bands, access at any other time by arrangement.

  • In order to comply with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 all gas bottles to be switched off when the unit is in storage. No other noxious, hazardous or explosive substances or preparations are allowed on site.

  • Caravans must not be inhabited during the storage period.

  • Woodlands Caravan Storage excludes all liability caused by vermin Infestation, a recognised vermin control regime is in place and is monitored regularly. Owners must remove food sources from caravans & motorhomes during storage periods.

  • All units to be parked correctly within the allocated plot, Woodlands Caravan    Storage reserve the right to allocate a different storage plot within the compound during the contract period.

  • We reserve the right to check ownership of any caravans via CRIS or other documents.. Caravans must display a current registration plate.

  • Any changes to the details provided by the plot holder in this agreement to be notified to Woodlands Caravan Storage without undue delay.

  • All caravans and the allocated plot area must be kept tidy and no litter left behind.

  • No major repairs to be carried out on site, (minor repairs, mobile servicing & cleaning may be carried out with the permission of Woodlands Caravan  Storage).

  • No sub-letting of storage plot without strict permission of Woodlands Caravan   Storage.

  • No trading is permitted from the site.

  • Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, please poop a scoo

  • Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times, strictly no ball games or cycling.

  • Do not loan, or use your security tag to allow anyone into the storage facility without strict permission from Woodlands Caravan  Storage

  • Security tags must be returned to us on final day of termination of storage.
