Studham is an area denoted as one of outstanding natural beauty with numerous walks and a beautiful village common. The village has two pubs the Red Lion and The Bell both serving lunchtime and evening meals a short walk away along the footpath  directly opposite our gate, or,  left out of the gate down the hill and first right.  

 

Kensworth has a small supermarket/post office, newsagent and a pub which is a 3 minute drive, right out of the gate, straight on for approximately 1 mile, left at the junction.

Markyate has local bakers, chemist, supermarket with post office and cash till, two pubs, Indian restaurant, take away and a fish and chip shop. Markyate is 5 minute drive, right out of the gate, straight on, right at crossroad, follow road left at Fire Station.

Whipsnade is well known for the every popular London Zoo plus other lovely walks including the National Trust Tree Cathedral  and the National Trust Bison Hill picnic and walk area. There is also the Hunters Lodge Restaurant, parts of which date back to the 15centuary.

Dagnall a small village with two farm shops and the Red Lion pub for lunches and evening meals

Little Gaddesden a beautiful village set in the National Trust area of Ashridge with has a small village shop and post office and the Bridgewater Arms pub for lunches and evening meals 

Aldbury village whose quaint village centre, pond and pubs have been seen in many a TV series
